I earned a Master's degree in early childhood education from Valdosta State University and am certified in Georgia to teach general education and gifted students, Pre-K through 5th grade, with endorsements to teach English Language Learners and Reading to all students Pre-K through 12th grade. I have over 15 years experience in early childhood education having taught preschool, Kindergarten and First grade respectively, in Gwinnett County before transitioning into coaching in private practice at Trifecta Health.
The 2023-2024 school year was my first year in my new role as a coach supporting students and their families in my office at Trifecta Health in Dacula, Georgia. I have met so many wonderful families and gained so much experience working with students ranging in age from as young as 3 to high school students..
As a learning coach, I find joy in creating individualized plans for students to bridge the gap between where they are and where they need to be to in order to be successful academically, socially and emotionally. For families in the public school setting this may mean that I work on IEP goals with their student to help them catch up and keep up, work on weekly homework assignments or prepare for upcoming tests during our time together.
Working privately with office hours during the traditional school day, I am able to support parents of homeschoolers as well. We work together to chart out an academic course that best matches their preferences and challenges their child. I enjoy providing fun learning activities to support them and the curriculum they have selected for use at home.
I am an ADHD-Certified Educator trained to support students and parents by arming them with skills and strategies needed to be successful in school and life, not just academically, but emotionally and behaviorally. I support families of students who are strong academically, yet face challenges behaviorally, socially or emotionally at home or in the classroom setting. It is so fulfilling to provide coaching support that enables these students to build and strengthen skills that will benefit them for life.
Every child and family has a story that is unique and precious to them. I would love the opportunity to hear your story and collaborate with you to make this next year your best one yet.
